Miriam Larici was introduced to the world of dance at the early age of five. It was through the very essence of disciplines and techniques of the dance that her coaches began to revere her artistry. Audiences awaited her prestigious career as a performer to unfold.
Born and raised in Matheu, Buenos Aires, Argentina , she was trained in classical Ballet, jazz, modern dance, acrobatic technique, gymnastics, Flamenco, social and stage Tango. Her first Tango instructors were Gloria and Eduardo Arquimbau.
She began her international reputation as a performer, instructor and choreographer in, an extraordinary fast and strong manner. Miriam has produced, directed, and choreographed several Tango shows, including "Tango and Fire" presented in Buenos Aires and the United States; the US “Festival Internacional de Tango Argentino”; “El Corazòn de Tango” and “Tango Buenos Aires”(for Columbia Artists).
She was the world famous iconic image of Luis Bravo's Broadway-London hit “Forever Tango”. Miriam mesmerized viewers and critics with her charismatic, strong artistic elegance. She was invited to dance for the performing arts series “ Evening at Pops “, with the Boston Pops Orchestra broadcasted nationally by PBS. It was at that performance, the acclaimed dancer Leslie Caron stated “…in my opinion, if I had to choose among tango dancers in the world, these two would be the chosen ones.” (Watch Miriam's Boston Pops PBS performance on YouTube )
Ms. Larici became a Broadway star while performing for two years at the Walter Kerr and Marquis Theater in Time Square. Her show credits includes also roles in the Broadway shows “42nd St.” and the famous musical “Me and My Girl”, presented in Argentina , Laugh & Tango (US& Canada), Folies Bergere (US), Alma de Tango (Japan & Taiwan), Tango Spirit III ( Japan ), Tango Fiesta (US), Tango Dreams (US & Indonesia), Fusion Tango (US), I Tango (US).
Miriam Larici also has performed with many famous orchestras among which are: “Forever Tango”,”The Boston Pops”, “Color Tango” Directed by Roberto Alvarez, “Esemble Hyperion”, “Adrover's Quintet”, “ Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra ”, Norberto Ramos and master Ryota Komatsu.
She has appeared on television in many countries worldwide including: Argentina, Italia (RAI), Japan, Mexico (Televisa), South Korea, USA (several ones). Miriam also danced in the film "Mambo Kings." She produced “ US Festival de Tango Argentino” for the last three years. She has been a featured performer and instructor at: 6th. 7th. 8th. 9th. &10 th. Nora's Tango Week.

Illuminating stages around the world, Miriam has performed and taught in Bermudas, Canada (Toronto, Vancouver, Windsor, Victoria)in Italy (Milan, Rome, Turin, Genova), Japan (Tokio, Osaka, Sapporo, Nagoya, Hiroshima, Nagasaki and more), in Mexico (Monterey, Mexico City), Portugal (Lisbon), Seoul and Pusan, South Korea , Spain ( Madrid), Indonesia (Bali & Jakarta), in Taiwan (Taipei, Tainan & Tai Chung ), in Argentina, at the famous Colon Theater (Argentine Opera House) and all major cities of the United States. |
